I’m Lucy, and I believe the best photographs happen when you stop worrying about the camera.
I’m a Mum and portrait photographer based in Llanfairfechan, North Wales, and I’ve been photographing people for over 15 years.
I photograph newborns, families, children, couples, portraits, boudoir, headshots and branding - but whatever the session, my approach stays the same: relaxed, natural and completely personal to you.
The way I work
I don’t want you to feel like you’re performing for the camera. I want you to feel comfortable enough to forget it’s there.
Sometimes that means capturing the chaos and laughter of a family. Sometimes it’s those tiny, quiet moments with a newborn. Sometimes it’s helping someone feel confident and beautiful in front of the camera, or creating photographs that show the person behind their business.
There isn’t one way to have your photograph taken, and there definitely isn’t one version of you that I’m trying to create.
My studio is light, calm and welcoming, and when the setting calls for it, I love heading outdoors - into the forests, mountains, coastline and beautiful places around North Wales.
I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I’ll never force you into poses that don’t feel like you. My job is to make you feel at ease, find the good light, notice the little moments and create photographs you’ll still love years from now.
Because ultimately, it’s not really about the photographs. It’s about how you felt when they were taken - and having something tangible to remember this version of yourself by.
