& a little about me…
Born in North Wales, I'm a Mum & self taught photographer. My Grandfather gave me my first camera when I was around 10 years old. It was one of the first Kodaks ever made & remains one of my most treasured possessions... & what's more, it's still in use today! I'm currently about 7 photos in to a 24 exposure film… but have been for the past year (Digital's kindamade me lazy). I lived in London for 10 years, where I photographed lots and studied & worked as a Complimentary & Stress Management Therapist, the stress management tools I acquired really do come in handy, particularly when photographing weddings! I moved back to North Wales in 2007 where gradually my family and my photography business started to grow. In 2012 I felt confident enough to take on my first studio then in 2016 my second and 2022 my third! During my school days, I used to sketch/draw/paint faces, so I guess it was inevitable that I would eventually end steering my photography towards portraiture. I love the organic nature of a portrait session, connecting with the person and capturing an element of their themselves, their personality and if I'm really lucky - their very essence and it's here I feel that the real magic resides.
Today I'd say that I'm even more in love with photography than ever…
Lucy.
